Only hope brought warmth to my soothing heart that beats with a steady tempo
Looking through the endless number of trees that let there leaves fall with the soft breeze
Hearing the warm laughter of my friends behind me coming closer and closer with every step
We camped at the rim where we saw over the vast plains of trees below
The fire burned with passion at night sparking fireflies dancing in the air
The sky lit up with stars that brought the night to life with every shooting star in its path
Sounds of wind blew in through the leaves and trees as if they were notes of music
I watched and listened on a log away from the camp site cherishing the moment
Life back in the city wasn't always fun but it was these moments that made me live each day over again
Every once in awhile I get my chance to get away and enjoy natures company
Hope kept me waiting and when hope knocked on my door
I opened my arms wide to it
Laugh your heart out
Dance in the rain
Cherish the moment
Ignore the pain

Forgive and Forget
Life's too short to be
living with regrets
Nature is my hope to live and I'll never regret going camping
So I'll ignore the scars and I'll ignore the cold
